1. Create an account and complete your application
Select the GHG title and specialization(s) that you are applying for, and then fill out the information regarding your employment and education history. Professional practice and GHG training details will also be submitted in your application. Click on the links below to submit your professional practice. After you have entered this information, you will be required to pay the application fee and agree to the EP Code of Ethics.

If you do have formal training, send your certificate directly to ECO Canada via email or fax.
2. GHG certification exam
When the Registrar confirms your eligibility, you will be required to schedule and write an online examination within three (3) months of being approved. The GHG Exam Guide will outline the required knowledge and resources for the examination.
3. Expert review
Your application will also undergo a qualitative review by a GHG professional. The reviewer will be assessing your education, experience and professional practice to ensure they meet the certification requirements.
4. The Board reviews your application
Our EP Registrar will review your application to ensure that all components are complete, verified, and meet or exceed the National Occupational Standards by the EP Registrar, the Canadian Environmental Certification Approvals Board (CECAB) will review EP(GHG) candidates on a monthly basis for final approval.
5. Maintain your designation
Once your application has been approved by the Board, you must pay your annual membership fee. To maintain your designation, each year you must:

Upload or enter your professional development activities.
Fees
You are required to pay a one-time application fee and membership fees annually.
Please note that application fees are non-refundable even in the event of an unsuccessful application.

1) Fees are paid in US dollars with the exception of applicants from Canada who will pay in Canadian dollars (plus applicable taxes).
2) A late payment charge of $100 will be applied for late payment of annual membership fees.
