Workforce Training Programs
Environmental Monitoring Coordinator
This program has two specializations, with the option of taking one or both. Regulatory Monitors learn about legislative requirements and monitoring the activities of industry. Research Monitors learn how to perform various monitoring tasks such as wildlife counts, surveys, and sampling.
Environmental Site Assessment Assistant
Students are trained in Environmental Site Assessment Phases I, II, and III for contaminated sites. Graduates are qualified to assist with project planning, gathering local knowledge, collecting and interpreting data, as well preparing reports.
Contaminated Sites Remediation Coordinator
This program prepares students to assist in the confirmatory sampling and remediation of a contaminated site, and to coordinate the long-term monitoring of site health and recovery.
Land Use Planning Coordinator
Students gain an introduction to key land use planning concepts and receive instruction on how to assist in the development, execution, and implementation of a community land use plan.
Local Environmental Coordinator
This program prepares students to coordinate environmental projects for their community.
Solid Waste Coordinator
This program prepares students to manage the household and commercial waste in their community.
Technician Training Programs
Certificate of Applied Environmental Techniques
This Certificate program includes modules from the Environmental Monitoring, Environmental Site Assessment, and Contaminated Sites Remediation programs.
Certificate in Environmental Planning and Administration
This Certificate program includes modules from the Land Use Planning and Local Environmental Coordinator programs.
Customizable Certificate
This Certificate program allows communities or individual students to take the Workforce Training Programs of their choice, based on local needs and employment or educational opportunities.
