Program Details
180-hours of instruction will help you improve your soft skills and knowledge of Canada's environmental sector. This material is delivered on-site at Immigrant Serving Agencies (ISA). Participants must also complete tasks on their own time, such as revising their cover letters and resumés, and going on informational interviews.

In addition to the set curriculum, you may be able to participate in work experience opportunities, depending on your area of expertise. Work experience opportunities can include:

Work placements (paid or unpaid)
You are responsible for researching and finding potential companies for work placements. ECO Canada and our partner ISA's are not placement agencies and there is no guarantee of employment through our program. Instead, we provide the opportunity for you to gain the skills and knowledge that will help you build your environmental career in Canada.
Are You Eligible?
You are eligible to apply for the Environmental Immigrant Bridging (EIB) program if you:

Have at least 5 years of work experience in an environmentally related field

Hold a Degree or Diploma in an environmentally related area (Foreign Credential Evaluation required)

Have a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7 (proof of proficiency required)

Are underemployed or unemployed in field of expertise

Are eligible to work in Canada

Are able to attend class and complete course activities

Have a desire to work in Canada’s environmental sector
Final eligibility requirements are at the discretion of the ISA you apply to. ECO Canada's EIB Program is only available in select cities across Canada.
