Project Biologist/Environmental Auditor

Job Description:
Spencer Environmental Management Services Ltd. is an Edmonton-based, independent consulting firm, founded in 1984 and specializing in EIA, EMS, environmental planning and wetland management. We have an immediate need for a Project Biologist/Environmental Auditor, responsible for assisting with implementing Environmental Management Systems (EMS) for our large-scale construction projects located in sensitive environmental settings. A secondary role will be to assist with preparation of EIAs and natural resource inventory field work.
Qualifications:
Suitable candidates will be eligible for P. Biol. or P. Ag. ESC certification is considered an additional asset. Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years work experience that includes exposure to projects having EMS, experience at construction sites; familiarity with Alberta’s environmental legislation and ESC practices; a demonstrated ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams; the ability to work well under pressure and independently in the field and to meet deadlines in a busy work environment. Candidates must be available to start in May/June 2012.
