Project Director - Environmental Science

Company Overview
EBA, A Tetra Tech Company (EBA) has an open position for a Project Director of Environmental Science in Edmonton, AB. This is your opportunity to manage a team of experienced biologists, foresters, agrologists, environmental scientists, and technical staff in meeting today’s environmental challenges with innovative solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day management of the staff in the environmental science group, as well as the tasks outlined in the categories below. This is a leadership role with opportunity for advancement.
Job Description:
Group Management:
Responsible for the day to day management of staff
Responsible for the financial targets of the group
Responsible for training and mentoring staff
Project Management:
Work on and manage projects (expected chargeability range of approximately 50%)
Demonstrate a high level of project management
Demonstrate a high level of professional client relations
Technical:
Provide technical advice and participate in field assessments within your discipline
Provide senior level advice for projects
Provide senior level review for reports and proposals
Team:
Establish successful working relationships with staff in other EBA disciplines and offices
Business Development:
Develop business contacts in the provincial market and work with EBA’s market directors to identify opportunities in EBA’s chosen market sectors. Responsible for leading business development for the group, as necessary.
Administration:
Participate in environmental practice and office meetings
Qualifications:
You have a minimum of twelve years of consulting experience or relevant practical experience.
You possess a minimum of a B.Sc. in an environmental discipline, with a relevant professional designation in your field.
You have strong knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements in Alberta and processes, with a firm background in environmental impact assessment.
You have a strong background in managing people or projects and providing high quality deliverables on time and within budget.
