Hazardous Materials Technologist
Organization:
LEX Scientific Inc.
Location:
Guelph, ON
Job Description:
Conducting building inspections for hazardous materials and designated substances (such as: asbestos, lead, mercury, mould, radon, etc.);
Generating abatement and remediation project specifications followed by tendering of the projects;
Inspection and monitoring of abatement and remediation projects including air sampling and analysis;
Conducting projects related to indoor air quality as well as monitoring of environmental air quality;
Project coordination and reporting;
Maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications:
A post secondary diploma or degree in chemistry, engineering, science or related field;
Willing to pursue CIH certification
A valid drivers license with a good driving record;
Excellent written and oral communication skills; Computer proficient; Self-motivated and career-oriented.
