DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging and informative webinar designed specifically for environmental sector employers. In this session\, we’ll explore the benefits of hiring people with disabilities and the types of support available to employers who want to foster an accessible and inclusive workplace. \nSpeaker: Nikki Langdon\nPrairie Regional Manager – Neil Squire Society\nNikki is the Prairie Regional Manager for the Neil Squire Society and has worked with people with disabilities for over 30 years in career development. Nikki also has a diagnosed mental illness that she has lived with and battled for well over 50 years and has written and published a book on the same. She speaks to this stigmatized illness often at conferences in an effort to bring this illness out of the dark. Some of her works include:\n– Making Friends with Shurman\n– Shades: Living with Mental Illness \nNikki holds a Bachelor’s degree with great distinction in Adapted Physical Activity Studies (Kinesiology) and has been awarded the YWCA Woman of Distinction award in Leadership and Management. She holds the Registered Rehabilitation Professional Certification from the Vocational Rehabilitation Society of Canada and the Certified Vocational Professional and Return to Work Disability Manager designations from the College of Vocational Professionals. \nSpeaker: Richard Cockrem\nNational Hub Coordinator – MentorAbility Canada\, CASE\n \nIn my role at MentorAbility Canada as National Hub Coordinator\, I am dedicated to fostering inclusivity and collaboration across the national landscape\, working closely with Hub organizations and coordinators in every province and territory.
