DESCRIPTION:This full-day training session\, organized by ECO Canada\, is designed to provide professionals with a comprehensive and practical understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) calculation and management in Calgary. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe program supports organizations in strengthening their capacity to measure\, track\, and reduce emissions in alignment with ESG requirements and Net Zero objectives. Participants will develop a strong foundation in GHG accounting\, including the classification and calculation of Scope 1\, Scope 2\, and Scope 3 emissions. The training emphasizes real-world application through hands-on exercises focused on data collection\, emission factor selection\, carbon footprint calculation\, and emissions tracking and reporting. \nThe program also addresses emission reduction target-setting methodologies and the development of decarbonization strategies\, including mitigation measures\, sector-specific pathways\, and an overview of Net Zero principles. She currently manages project focused on adoption of and compliance with National Energy Codes of Canada for buildings\, with a strong emphasis on capacity building through trainings and resources. Pooja holds a Masters degree in Economics from University of Ottawa\, Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Diploma in Business Administration from McMaster University. \n
