She has held senior academic roles across Canada and the U.S.\,\nand her research includes projects in climate adaptation\, knowledge systems\, biodiversity\,\nand environmental literacy worldwide. \n\n\n \n\n  \n \n\nDr. Rob Newell\nCanada Research Chair\, School of Environment & Sustainability\, RRU \nDr. Newell is Associate Director of the Food and Agriculture Institute (UFV)\nand Adjunct Faculty at RRU and the University of Victoria. His research focuses\non sustainability challenges including climate change and biodiversity\, with\ninnovative approaches to participatory planning\, visualization\, and food systems resilience.
