Learn how to navigate difficult moments with accountability and how to lead the process of cultural repair and renewal. \nWhether you’re a leader\, HR professional\, or investigator\, this session will offer actionable strategies to: \n\nDevelop deeper awareness of workplace dynamics\nFoster trust through intentional listening\nCreate a culture of openness and understanding\n\nSpeakers:\n \nLori Ann Walsh \nWith over 20 years of experience in criminal intelligence\, regulatory investigations\, and public safety\, Lori Ann Walsh brings a broad and informed perspective to today’s session. Her career includes service as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst with both the RCMP and Edmonton Police Service\, a parole officer overseeing high-risk offenders\, and a licensed senior investigator conducting complex third-party investigations across multiple provinces. She has also worked in access and privacy oversight\, supporting public bodies in meeting their obligations around transparency\, privacy rights\, and legislative compliance. \nLori Ann holds a BA in Sociology and a Diploma in Criminology. She continues to support public bodies and healthcare organizations through impartial\, trauma-informed investigations grounded in integrity and procedural fairness. She is committed to ethics\, accountability\, and building investigative systems that foster psychological safety\, proactive disclosure\, and early resolution—helping organizations act early\, document well\, and avoid reactive investigations. \n \nJohn Wilson\n \nWith over 35 years of combined experience in law enforcement and private security\, John Wilson brings a wealth of expertise to today’s session. Throughout a distinguished career\, John has led and supported major crime investigations across Canada\, including cases involving homicide\, corruption\, and organized crime. A seasoned undercover operator for over 16 years and a licensed Private Investigator in multiple provinces\, John has conducted hundreds of polygraph examinations and has trained thousands of professionals in both law enforcement and the private sector in advanced interviewing techniques. \nAs the former leader of the Alberta RCMP Interview Assistance Team\, John provided strategic support to some of the most complex and sensitive investigations nationwide. Before retiring at the rank of Inspector\, John served as the Operations Officer for the Eastern Alberta District. Currently\, he is the Director and Senior Investigator at JPW Investigations\, continuing to bring impartiality\, professionalism\, and investigative rigor to regulatory and workplace matters.
