Barriers to Indigenous Recruitment

Learn about the recruitment barriers that exist for Indigenous Peoples and how they affect recruitment strategies.

An introduction to Indigenous recruitment and retention in Canada.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada called upon the corporate sector in Canada for equitable access to jobs, training, and education opportunities for Indigenous Peoples to help repair the harm caused by residential schools and move forward with reconciliation. Many Indigenous Peoples continue to experience a significantly lower probability of employment due to systemic barriers and discrimination.

In this webinar, Brad Spence from ECO Canada will present “Barriers to Indigenous Recruitment,” which explores the recruitment barriers that exist for Indigenous Peoples and how they affect recruitment strategies.

Topics will include:

  • A discussion of recruitment barriers faced by Indigenous Peoples
  • Insights on current challenges for recruiting Indigenous Peoples
  • How to improve your Indigenous recruitment, on-boarding, interviewing, and retention best practices
  • An Indigenous perspective and lens on recruiting

This webinar is designed for individuals and organizations who want to learn more and help support the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action regarding Indigenous Recruitment in Canada.
