Speaker: Dr. Charles Odame-Ankrah


Dr. Charles Odame-Ankrah is an experienced air quality research Scientist whose inventions have revolutionized the field of air quality monitoring, contributing significantly to the global fight against climate change. He graduated with first-class honors in Chemistry from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and went on to earn his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in the USA and Canada, respectively, all on scholarships. One of his inventions, photolytic Converter, has been fully published by the United States patent Office in 2022. He many peer-reviewed publications and now leading innovation in instrument development at Global analyzer System’s limited. He is passionate about practical solutions to climate change and adaptations and been an advocate for sustainable use of energy for future generations. As a sought-after keynote speaker, he has traveled the world to present his groundbreaking technology. Dr. Odame-Ankrah works with Global Analyzer Systems Ltd. As a Principal Scientist to improve certainty in emissions monitoring and reporting. He is a multi-award-winning community leader with exceptional leadership qualities, having been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the community. Overall, Dr. Charles Odame-Ankrah is an exceptional scientist, community leader, and advocate for diversity and inclusion, whose contributions is having significant positive impact on the world.
Speaker: Reem Tanta
ESG Lead Advisor

Reem Tanta is an ESG Lead Advisor with WSP and an ESG instructor with Mount Royal University. Her key areas of expertise include sustainability and ESG compliance, ESG materiality assessment, and ESG strategy development and reporting. Reem has 20+ years of experience in Canada and globally. During the last five years, Reem provided ESG strategic advisory and reporting services for mining corporation in the USA, Canada and Argentina and has provided similar services to the INGAA Foundation in the USA and multiple energy developers in Alberta and BC. For the 15 years prior, Reem provided socioeconomics and sustainability regulatory advisory services for mega ESIA projects in the infrastructure, energy and mining sectors in North America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. She is a certified/licensed environmental professional by Eco-Canada (EP), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI); and the Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Framework (ENV SP).
Speaker: Dr. Yogendra Chaudhry
VP of Professional Services

Yogi oversees the development and delivery of professional services to support the rapidly growing network of the Canadian environment and sustainability workforce. He provides strategic insight and technical support for environment and sustainability programs, and works closely with a diverse range of stakeholders including government, industry and the environment & sustainability professionals. During his more than two decades of career in Environment and Sustainability, he has worked in numerous countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. Yogi holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and supports a number of Canadian and international academic institutions, standard-setting organizations, and industry associations in various professional capacities.
Speaker: Denis Andre
Manager, Sustainability, Environment and Indigenous Affairs

Denis Andre has worked at FortisAlberta for 15 years. His career started on the environmental side of the business and now works as the Manager, Sustainability, Environment and Indigenous Affairs. In this role Denis is responsible for FortisAlberta’s sustainability program including reporting on GHG emissions, promoting internal energy efficiency programs, and managing the carbon offset program. Denis also chairs an internal committee on climate adaptation and participates in working groups with the electricity industry association Electricity Canada on sustainability.
