Jacquelyn Stevens is a partner at Willms & Shier Environmental Lawyers LLP. She is a Certified Specialist in Environmental Law by the Law Society of Ontario. Jacquie has significant expertise representing a wide range of clients in environmental civil litigation, defence of prosecutions by environmental regulators, and Jaat administrative appeals and hearings. Jacquie advises on cross-boundary migration of contamination, brownfields/contaminated site remediation, and environmental approvals for waste, air, odour, and noise. Jacquie also provides effective advise and solutions to clients on environmental due diligence and compliance matters. Jacquie is a frequent speaker about environmental law and litigation issues at leading external legal and industry conferences and seminars such as AESAC, RemTech, Ontario Fabricare Association, OSSGA, CANECT, ICSC’s Canadian Shopping Centre Law Conference and others. She also writes articles regularly on environmental law topics, including articles for our firm website, Fabricare Canada Magazine, The Lawyer’s Daily and other publications. Jacquie is the Vice President of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario and a member of the OBA, CBA, PDAC and ESAA. In addition to her law degree, Jacquie has a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences from Dalhousie University, a Master of Science in Geology from St. Francis Xavier University, and a Master of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. Jacquelyn is called to the bar in Alberta and Ontario.
