While new placements for this program are not currently available, ECO Canada continues to support student employment through the Student Work Placement Program (WPP).

Since 2020, the Digital Skills for Youth program has supported hundreds of young professionals entering the workforce while helping organizations strengthen their digital capacity.
Building Digital Capacity Across Canada's Environmental Sector
Participants supported through DSY placements contribute to a wide range of projects, including:
digital communications and outreach
website and content development
data analysis and reporting
social media strategy and digital marketing
online training platforms
environmental data management
digital tools for community programs

Supporting Organizations Through Digital Talent
Through the Digital Skills for Youth program, organizations across Canada have been able to strengthen their digital operations and expand their capacity to deliver programs.
One host organization reported that their participant:
developed an interactive youth resources page for their website
created a digitally animated educational short
built an online training workspace for staff
helped streamline program administration
The organization noted that the participant brought a wide range of technical and creative skills, significantly improving their online presence and program delivery.
