Future Ready SMEs' Tour:
Competitive Solutions to Cut Risks and Emissions

Join the national tour helping Canadian SMEs cut emissions, manage risks, and stay competitive in a low-carbon economy.

Introduction

Through program funding and support from the Government of Canada’s Implementation Readiness Fund, ECO Canada has begun hosting a series of events from coast to coast, serving as critical platforms for discussions centered on decarbonization strategies for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

These events aim to encourage a rich exchange of decarbonization knowledge, best practices, and available resources among industry experts, indigenous community leaders, and businesses across Canada. By bringing together these key stakeholders, we explore practical approaches to reducing greenhouse gas emissions tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities of the different regions across the country.

Empowering Canada’s decarbonization transition

ECO Canada is hosting 20 events across Canada centered on empowering businesses and communities to adopt low-carbon technologies and begin/continue their journey towards achieving reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

By creating spaces where organizations, communities, and experts can come together, we enable sharing success stories, best practices, and case studies that demonstrate the tangible benefits of emissions reduction strategies.

Our past tours include events in Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton, Montreal and Saskatoon where we had dialogue between industry subject matter experts, organizations and community members on support available, implementation and challenges encountered when transitioning to low carbon technologies.

These events will be ongoing till March 2027. This extended timeline will ensure that businesses, and relevant stakeholders across the nation have enough opportunity to engage, learn and contribute to Canada’s decarbonization goals.

Don’t miss the opportunity to participate at any of our events across Canada! Two ways your SME, community leader or local stakeholder can join in the discussions and start implementing low carbon technologies.

Land Acknowledgment

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity, and truth, we acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, including the Blackfoot Confederacy—comprising the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations—as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina Nations.

This land, known as Moh’kinsstis in the Blackfoot language and encompassing what is now Districts 5 and 6, is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.

We recognize and honour the deep connection these Nations have to the land, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share in its stewardship.

As we continue our work, we commit to learning from Indigenous knowledge systems, uplifting Indigenous voices, and fostering relationships rooted in equity, understanding, and reconciliation.
