Eligibility Requirements
To quality for EP®(GHG), applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Employment: Minimum 3 years of professional GHG-related work.
- Education: ISCED Level 6, 7, or 8 in a GHG-relevant field or if a non-relevant field an additional 2 years of GHG employment experience is required.
- Training: Minimum 24 hours of approved GHG training within the last 10 years.
- Work Log/Project Experience: Minimum 7 GHG work logs within the last 5 years.

All specializations are considered equivalent, there is no hierarchy. This ensures ensuring broad applicability across the climate workforce.

Maintaining Your Designation
To maintain in good standing, EP®(GHG) members must:
- Members must pay the annual membership fee by the due date*
- Earn 20 professional development credits per year
- Submit at least one work log annually
- Complete the five-year term renewal process
This ensures ongoing competence and professional integrity.
*If payment is not received within 30 days of the due date, a $100 CAD late fee will be applied. The member will also be listed as not in good standing in the public member directory until payment is received.
