Meet Your Speakers

Rhett Reilkoff

Manager, School of Environment & Sustainability, RRU

Rhett holds a B.Sc. in Land Use and Environmental Studies (University of Saskatchewan)
and an MA in Environment & Management (RRU). With experience in the non-profit sector
and consulting for environmental organizations, he now leads the School of Environment
and Sustainability at Royal Roads University.

 

Dr. Leslie King

Professor, Program Head, Director – Canadian Center for Environmental Education, RRU

Dr. King has dedicated her career to advancing environmental education and sustainability.
Her expertise spans environmental sciences, Indigenous perspectives, climate change, biodiversity,
governance, and justice. She has held senior academic roles across Canada and the U.S.,
and her research includes projects in climate adaptation, knowledge systems, biodiversity,
and environmental literacy worldwide.

 

Dr. Rob Newell

Canada Research Chair, School of Environment & Sustainability, RRU

Dr. Newell is Associate Director of the Food and Agriculture Institute (UFV)
and Adjunct Faculty at RRU and the University of Victoria. His research focuses
on sustainability challenges including climate change and biodiversity, with
innovative approaches to participatory planning, visualization, and food systems resilience.
