Sagar Kancharla

WSP Canada, Director – Energy Transition Advisory & Investments

At WSP, Sagar is involved with advising organizations to navigate the energy transition. In particular – evaluating opportunities, enabling strategic decisions, and guiding successful executions. He is an accomplished leader in the energy sector with ~25 years of experience having worked with an energy company, an energy regulator and now with an energy consultancy. His broad expertise is built from his roles in strategy, corporate finance, business development and regulation in organizations that include Enbridge, Ontario Energy Board, Ontario Ministry of Finance and GE.

He has extensive experience in market analysis and investment reviews of opportunities across the energy infrastructure spectrum. With regards to energy transition projects, which include hydrogen, carbon capture, renewable power, renewable natural gas, energy storage, waste-to-energy, geothermal and district energy technologies, he is currently involved or completed engagements in Canada, US, Norway, Sweden, and New Zealand.

Arvind Ramakrishnan

Deloitte, Director- Sustainability and Climate Change- Transportation and Utilities

Arvind is a Director at Deloitte in our Climate & Sustainability practice and leads the Hydrogen pillar nationally. Arvind has over 20  years of industry experience in the Utility sector leading and developing low and zero-carbon fuels market for the transportation sector in BC including the marine segment. More recently,  Arvind has been working with govt and industry to enable and scale the deployment of hubs and corridors to decarbonize industry and heavy-duty transportation in Western Canada and is here to share some of the perspectives and learnings.

 

Shannon Wilson

Foresight Canada, Program Manager – carbonNEXT

Shannon has developed expertise and knowledge in carbon management, one of the many tools to address climate change. As the Program Manager of Foresight’s carbonNEXT program, she collaborates with innovators addressing the world’s most critical challenges through carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) and carbon dioxide removal (CDR). Her background includes experience in waste management, wastewater, land development engineering, project management and construction services.
